The funny thing is, when my mom bought a mactop, it had problems , so we had to return it. She bought a PC afterwards, and it's doing great! On the other hand, Dad bought a PC laptop and he had to send it back twice, then finally HP replaced it with a new one. That one crashed within a couple weeks. They still haven't fixed it!
See if you can find it...
"Our trip worked out just fine, though we arrived here very tired. Both airplanes were completely filled. The Beijing Airport is very modern and beautifully decorated. Many thousands of trees have been planted in the Beijing area and the freeway from the airport was lined with thick stands of trees. Our hotel room is spacious, decorated in rich cranberry, gold and beige with accents of black. The window is at least 15 feet wide and seven feet high, showing a panoramic view that includes ancient pagoda buildings that are beautiful, construction areas, freeway and modern office buildings. They have lots of lights outlining buildings or spotlighting unique features.Quite impressive.
Aaron was so subdued during the flight from Portland I began to think he was ill, but he said no he wasn't. But, I think he was feeling a lot of tension, wanting to do everything correctly. For some reason he was worried about getting air sick and embarrassing himself, but of course, there was no danger of that as these huge airplanes give a smooth ride.
Best to all,
If you had to spend the rest of eternity all alone, would you get lonely? Wouldn't you want to someone to talk to? Wouldn't you get bored? God, before the foundation of time was the only one around, but he didn't mind at all, because He has such a vast, immeasurable and intimate relationship with Himself. This is because God is three persons. Today, I'd like to explain the meaning and significance of the Trinity. I'm going to go over three truths that the bible tells us about the Trinity, first of all, that God is three persons, secondly, Each person is fully God, and finally, there is one God.
God is three persons. we label this truth as the trinity. Noah Webster defined Trinity in his original* dictionary as "In theology, the union of three Persons in one Godhead, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit." So you see, "trinity" is simply "tri-unity", the union of three. The word trinity doesn't appear anywhere in the bible, but the concept is made very clear. In Matthew 28:19, Jesus declares what we call the Great Commission "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." This is a clear description of the Trinity.
But the fact that there are three persons means that there is a distinction between them. Jesus once made this distinction in John 14:26**, "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He will teach you all things." You'll notice, He doesn't say, "When I'm the Father, I'll send myself in the Holy Spirit form, in the name of myself as Jesus, and I'll teach you all things." God is the three persons one at a time, nor are they all the same. God is three individual persons united in one Godhead, and these three, who love each other more than anything else, have an intimate relationship. this relationship is wholly self-sustaining, lacking in nothing, so it would be a fallacy to suppose that God created man out of boredom, or loneliness.
It is in this way that the trinity is very significant: if God didn't have the trinity, He would need fellowship, and in that case, God needs us. And if we believe that, than we are basing our lives upon and are desperately relying on someone who is trying to rely on us!
God doesn’t need anything because he has himself.
Each person is fully God.
God the Father, throughout both the Old and New Testaments is acknowledged as fully God and completely divine. Even Jesus, the Son of God prays to Him.
God the Son, is hailed as divine in John 1:1&2** "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God... And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
So you see, Christ was with God, and was God, signifying His Deity.
God the Holy Spirit is fully God according to the apostle Paul in First Corinthians 2:10&11** "The Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.”
It is extremely significant that we understand this doctrine, because if the Father is not wholly God, then all His actions are imperfect; neither sovereign nor perfect. If Christ was not full divine, then our salvation is not accomplished! James Montgomery Boice writes ***"If Christ is not fully divine, then our salvation is neither accomplished nor assured. No being less than God Himself, how-ever exalted, is able to bear the full punishment of the world’s sin." And finally, if the Holy Spirit, who inspired Scripture, and works as our guiding conscience, then we can trust neither, because of their author's imperfection!
There is on God
1 Timothy 2:5** simply states this truth.
"For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”
Although this verse recognizes Christ (one of the Trinity), it still defends that there is but one God. (Not three Gods, of which Jesus is one god.) If we were to get the idea in our heads that there are three Gods after studying the trinity, then we step into the realm of polytheism (many gods). In past history, the Israelites began worshipping many gods, and they were disciplined for it. It would be an abomination to God believe that we are worshipping three different gods, rather than One God!
We have covered how God is three persons (how the trinity is entirely self-sufficient in relationship), Each person is fully God (All acts of the three distinct persons are fully sovereign and Divine), and that there is one God (not three, which is Polytheism)...So let me conclude with Philippians 2:4-11 “Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. “
After studying God's relationship with Himself, let's apply it to our relationships with each other. As Christ was humble, in His relationship with His Father, let us be more Christ-like, and look to the interests of others, not our own.
Stay tuned for the rest of this study, soon to follow.

Aaron's visa was delivered, so now he can go to China! The Lord is good! ;) He's in Portland, and his flight departure is scheduled today, but the visa wasn't anywhere to be found! Turns out, it had been sitting at the post office since Tuesday, but it's been promptly delivered, and far as I know, everything is going smoothly. I think Aaron even brought his Xtreme Isolation headphones to block out the plane noise during the flight, so he might catch some sleep. He sure is one lucky-dog!
I want to do a dramatic interpretation too, but I'm not totally sure.
I'm half finished with this picture. I'll update progress as I go. Christa Taylor Clothing is holding a contest inviting ladies to design their "dream" autumn dress. The designs get sent in and there will be an online vote in January. The winner has their dress made, and they get to keep it. Christa Taylor will also carry that signature item as inventory. Nothing formal, but a casual dress. So here's a rough draft of my dream dress.
